イエローテールスナッパーの釣り方（手順）
① チャムを流す
船を礁の上でアンカリングし、チャムブロックを潮下に流し続ける。15〜20分で群れが浮いてくる。
Anchor over the reef and keep a chum block working down-current. The school usually rises within 15–20 minutes.
② 目視で探す
黄色い尾が船の後ろに見えたら準備完了。魚が見える層にエサを合わせる。
Once you see yellow tails behind the boat you are in business. Match your bait to the depth they are holding.
③ ノーシンカーで流す
オモリなしで、ラインを指で送り出しながらチャムと同調させる。抵抗を感じさせない。
No weight. Feed line off your finger so the bait travels with the chum and feels no resistance.
④ 追い食いさせない
掛けたら素早く回収。暴れさせると群れが散り、根に潜られてリーダーを切られる。
Land it quickly — a thrashing fish scatters the school and will cut you off on the reef.
釣り方のコツ
オモリを使わず、チャムと同じ速度でエサを流すのがコツ。見えている魚が食わないときはリーダーをさらに細く。
Use no weight at all — let the bait drift at exactly the speed of the chum. If they refuse, go lighter on the leader again.
